Last November, the City introduced Ask Mountain View, a new on-line service that allows customers and staff to track the status of questions, suggestions, concerns and compliments whether they are received via E-mail, phone, postal mail or any other method. Thousands of users have enjoyed a variety of benefits of the new Ask Mountain View system—including 24-hour access to City Hall on-line and the ability to obtain status updates via E-mail, right from their home computer—to receive a reply during regular business hours. A new feature has been made available as of May 27, 2010. Now citizens can use their iPhones to point, click, and submit their feedback on issues, in real-time while out in the community. Requests and feedback will be routed directly into the Ask Mountain View system andusers can check the updated status on their requests anytime, anywhere. FREE Ask Mountain View iPhone App: Is now available for download via the iPhone App Store or a web link on the City’s web page at www.mountainview.gov. (In the future, other smart phone platforms are anticipated to be offered). iPhone Users: Take a moment to download the MV App today! You can contribute first-hand experience and up to the minute information with supporting photographs or notes to illustrate the request. Mayor Ronit Bryant noted, “The Ask Mountain View iPhone App has extended the benefits of Ask Mountain View into the palm of your hand, accessible anytime and from virtually anywhere. If you live or work in Mountain View and have an iPhone, I encourage you to download the free Ask Mountain View application.” For Further Information — Should you have further questions or media inquiries, please contact the City Managerʹs Office at (650) 903‐6210 or (650) 903‐6301, or by E‐mail at kimberly.thomas@mountainview.gov.
