Department Modernizes and Becomes More Efficient by Using Software to Manage Violations
Mar 23,2010
Greenwood, Mississippi has over 18,000 residents whose properties are subject to local codes of maintenance. The code enforcement department consists of four officers who, like many cities, have been managing code enforcement violations using paper and manual data entry. They researched technology that would make them more efficient and found that Comcate’s software was designed by and for code enforcement officers and management. The officers in the City of Greenwood will be using Comcate software to manage inspections and violations and will find that the software more than pays for itself through increased efficiency and productivity. Staff will be able to cover more territory and the standardized and well managed violation citations will result in better compliance and increased revenue and faster processing by the courts.
